Santiago, a young man learning to become a catholic priest, suddenly decides to stop his studies and live a shepherd’s life. His goal is simple and clear: to travel and discover the world. He repeatedly dreams the same dream in which he must reach the Egyptian desert to find a treasure buried in the Pyramids. During his travels, he meets many spiritual messengers, all of whom point Santiago in the direction of his quest. No one knows, however, what the treasure is, or if Santiago is able to surmount the obstacles along the way. But what starts as a journey to find worldly goods turns into a discovery of the treasures found within.
Evocative and deeply humane, the story of Santiago, told with the help of the means of the experimental theatre, is the story about the transforming power of our dreams and the importance of listening to our hearts.
